Gelnythe Cosplay

With 10 Years of cosplaying, local Saskatchewan cosplayer Gelnythe has created a wide range of costumes to match her favorite characters. From learning to leathercraft for Aloy to beading with Queen Anna, she has learned so many unique skills. When asked what her favorite part of cosplaying is, she proudly states the love the community shares for creating.

While not every experience has been a positive one, Gelnythe continues to encourage the next generation of cosplayers to just do it, but also reminds everyone to take breaks when needed. Her favorite cosplays she has built have been Queen Anna of Arendelle (Frozen 2) and Aloy Carja Blazon (Horizon Forbidden West), two cosplays that brought her love, tears, joy and more as she made them, and improved her skills while doing it!

Currently, Gelnythe has moved into the competitive cosplay scene, where she competes in the Masters Division at various conventions across Alberta and Saskatchewan.
